This page explains how the bjtOS website handles visitors’ data and how it uses cookies. The site is an informational showcase: it requires no sign-up and collects the bare minimum, only with your consent.
Data controller
The data controller is the bjtOS project (Matteo Casavecchia). For any request about your data, write to info@bjtos.cloud.
What data we collect
The site does not collect personal data you provide voluntarily, except your email address if you write to us. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate usage statistics: pages visited, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate location (city/country) and traffic source. This data is used only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
Cookies and Consent Mode
To measure visits we use Google Analytics cookies. They are not installed until you give consent via the banner: by default all storage is disabled (Google Consent Mode v2). We do not use advertising/profiling cookies. Your choice (accept/decline) is stored locally in your browser so we don’t ask again on every visit.
Google acts as data processor; data may be transferred to third countries (e.g. the United States) under the safeguards provided by law (Standard Contractual Clauses / Data Privacy Framework).
Legal basis
Analytics data is processed solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can refuse or withdraw at any time with no impact on your browsing.
Data retention
Aggregate Google Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Your consent preference stays in your browser until you change it or clear the site data.
Your rights
At any time you can exercise your GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability) by writing to info@bjtos.cloud. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the button below, or by clearing the site data in your browser.
